A battery will help you store energy for later. Solar power is generated during sunlight hours, if you’re not home during the day, your best bet is to install a battery to save the power you’ve created for when you need to use it.

Pricing depends on the amount of energy you will need for your house and the number of solar panels you need. Our pricing requires a consultation at your place to discuss your specific needs. Major NZ banks are all offering low or interest free loans to encourage greener, more sustainable homes. Check out our guide here for financing options.

Most solar power systems will provide enough energy to power your whole home and your battery system will save any energy you don’t use for the future. In case you use more power than you’ve generated you can still pull energy from the main grid and you’ll be charged accordingly from your energy provider. You can also sell energy back to your provider you haven’t used. You can choose to go completely off-grid and live entirely off the power generated by your solar system but most people choose to remain on the grid to ensure power in the event you need more than your solar energy has created.
